A lovely blend, from Alsace, of Gewurtztraminer, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Muscat and Sylvaner. To be honest I have not tried the 2008 but have had both the 2004 & 2006 and find this to be fairly consistant vintage to vintage because it is a blend. 2008 had great reviews so once again it is likely really good value for money.

I attended Taste Ontario again this year and here is the first in a series of recommendations for great values!
Beautiful Bordeaux style blend - fine tannins, ripe blackcurrant, leather, hint of white pepper.
Coyote's Run Estate - Meritage 2007 (XD) - $24.95

Very pleasant - aroma of rasperries, complex layers of flavour - sour cherries, (pink grapefruit?) Nice streak of acidity to balance the sweetness.
Cattail Creek - Late Harvest Meritage 2008 (MS) - $30.00

QPR - Quality to Price Ratio - is an important factor when you are buying wine. Whether it is $9.00 or $59.00 you want to feel your wine is worth the spend. Posted below are my suggestions.
I am not an expert, just a discerning wine lover or amateur de vin (as the French say), but everyone has a different palate, likes and dislikes so it must be understood that any of my recommendations are personal. I just hope that you find them useful or at the very least - interesting. I also hope you enjoy my photos. It is more fun sharing then keeping them backed up on a hard drive.
